Solution d'une EDP

Soient deux fonctions \(g,h\) d’une variable réelle, de classe \(\mathcal{C}^2\) sur \(\mathbb{R}\). On définit la fonction \(f\) sur \(\mathbb{R}^{+,*} \times \mathbb{R}\) par: \[f(x,y)=g(\frac{y}{x})+x\,h(\frac{y}{x}).\]

1

Justifier que \(f\) est de classe \(\mathcal{C}^2\) sur \(\mathbb{R}^{+,*} \times \mathbb{R}\).

2

Calculer les dérivées partielles d’ordre \(1\) de \(f\) au point \((x,y) \in \mathbb{R}^{+,*} \times \mathbb{R}\), c’est-à-dire \(\frac{\partial f}{\partial x}(x,y)\) et \(\frac{\partial f}{\partial y}(x,y)\).

3

Montrer les égalités suivantes pour tout \((x,y) \in \mathbb{R}^{+,*} \times \mathbb{R}:\) \[\frac{\partial^2 f}{\partial x^2}(x,y)=\frac{2y}{x^3}g'(\frac{y}{x})+\frac{y^2}{x^4}g''(\frac{y}{x})+\frac{y^2}{x^3}h''(\frac{y}{x}),\] \[\frac{\partial^2 f}{\partial y^2}(x,y)=\frac{1}{x^2}g''(\frac{y}{x})+\frac{1}{x}h''(\frac{y}{x}).\]

4

En déduire que \(f\) satisfait l’EDP suivante pour tout \((x,y) \in \mathbb{R}^{+,*} \times \mathbb{R}\): \[x^2\frac{\partial^2 f}{\partial x^2}(x,y)+2xy\frac{\partial^2 f}{\partial x\partial y}(x,y)+y^2\frac{\partial^2 f}{\partial y^2}(x,y)=0.\]
